The Cocoa Island Caves are 5 caves that are found in Cocoa Island. 3 of them represent a certain element and 1 is the central entrance to the other 3 caves and 1 can only be accessed from the inaccessible large nuclear island near Cocoa Island but was accessible in Chapter 2 of The Grey Mirror.
There are 22 butterflies near and at the crystal cave. 15 of them can be found in the entrance to the cave from the central cave and 7 butterflies can be found fluttering on top of a rock found in the center of the crystal cave.
The Lava Cave is filled mostly with lava, but there's some rocky surfaces at least. Thankfully, the lava doesn't hurt the player as AiM has no PVP mechanic.
The water cave is filled with fresh water and some vines and bushes. There are 4 waterfalls in the cave and a little pond surrounded by rock at the center of the cave.
The crystal cave is filled with 12 large neon purple crystals of unknown origin. There is also a rock in the center of the cave and has 7 butterflies fluttering above it.
There is one cave that can only be accessed from the large nuclear island near Cocoa Island. It served a role in the 2nd chapter of The Grey Mirror saga. It is an old terminal that the Eggman Empire used 25 years ago in 1995, during the events of the 1995 Sonic game Tail's Adventure.
The central entrence to the has a monument in the center of it. The monument gives of a strange energy that's deeply connected to the Island. There's a chance that it's related to the unknown force that has awoken under the Island.
2nd Invasion of the Eggman EmpireEdit
The heroes and all citizens of Cocoa Island were forced to evacuate to the Water Cave during the Eggman Empire's 2nd invasion on Cocoa Island. After they evacuated to the cave, the outer entrance to the cave collapsed. Leaving the heroes and the citizens sheltered in the cave. Suddenly, a mobian stood up upon a rock in the cave. It was Sting, the man who killed DESTRON leader Destruction during the Eggman Empire's 1st attack on Cocoa Island. He revealed that Destruction is infact, still alive and is with someone that he preceives as "a very powerful individual".
The heroes then arrived into an abandoned cave full of technology. As the sounds of the thudding footsteps from Eggpawns above the cave were heard, the Heroes found a log full of roboticization. The Heroes also discovered a holographic image of the entire database of the Eggman Empire's base at Cocoa Island. The Heroes downloaded the logs into a PDA, revealing Base Schematics, Soldier Stations, and more. Not only that, but even readouts of Eggman's plans. Just when all of the downloading is complete, Dr. Eggman himself appeared in a Red Holographic image and all nearby systems power on. Dr. Eggman reveals that the Heroes are in an old terminal that the Eggman Empire used 25 years ago when Tails. After all nearby systems shut down, the Eggpawns finally discovered where the Heroes and Cocoa Islanders are and would arrive there in a moment. It was too late, the Heroes and Cocoa Islanders made it out of the cave and into a large nuclear island.
A monument can be found in the center of the central entrance to the 3 caves. The monument gives of a strange energy that's deeply connected to the Island. There's a chance that it's related to the unknown force that has awoken under the Island.
